Help I can't open a picture of my niece's new baby

My Droid 2 is all funky lately.  My niece sent me a picture message of her new baby and I can't open it.  It is driving me CRAZY!

Are you able to browse the web on your device? Have you made any changes to the Droid 2 recently? May I ask what is the software version you are running on the device? The most current approves software version is .2.3.20.A955.Verizon.en.US/BP: BP_C_01.09.07P. Also, check to confirm that there isn't any messaging restriction setup on the device? 

 

What I do in a situation like this is I send a picture message to myself from my cell & see if I can open it. Also, you may want to ask the sender what size is the picture. There is a file size limit to MMS, which varies from device to device. I have listed them below.

  • Devices with a .3 megapixel camera can send / receive a maximum file size of 100 KB.
  • Devices with a 1.2 - 2 megapixel camera can send / receive a maximum file size of 350 KB.
  • Devices with a 3.0+ megapixel camera can send / receive a maximum file size of 600 KB.
