Just got a replacement phone because my charging port on the old one was faulty. I tried to activate the phone on the new device by dialing *228, but it kept saying phone was unsuccessfully programmed. After trying that several times with no luck, I called CS on a landline and it said the same thing. I then tried to activate it online, but said you cannot activate any phones because of a pending transaction. I don't even know what that means, so nothing I can do there. What should/can I do now? Do they have to get the old phone before they can activate the new one?
