Hey all. Recently [2 days ago] activated my new Bionic and I have an issue with the numbers syncing.
For all my facebook contacts it adds a +1 in front of the number and for some reason the contacts with that in front I will not be able to send a text message to unless I change it. I have figured out to join some of my contacts which fixed some, but it doesn't fix them all. I can not edit the facebook numbers themselves because "Facebook contact information is not editable on this device." I at one point had the option to choose between the numbers "+1-123-456-7890" and "123-456-7890" but can't seem to find that again. So for now it seems I'm SOL. Anyone else have this issue or have a suggestion to fix it?
Thanks, Pat.

This has been a common issue, HTC thunderbolt has a option under the phone settings that allows a user to change this option, maybe Motorola has a simular option... If you noyice the first option on last step has the option to include the +1 in number..

Thanks for the great feedback and suggestions Wildman!
And thanks for posting PatAlt25! I am happy to assist.
It appears there is an issue with texting Facebook contacts resulting in the device adding +1 in front of the wireless number. This is due to the fact Facebook adds a "1" in front of the number, and when Facebook is added as a synced account, your device automatically sees the "1" as an international dialing code. A way you can get around this issue would be to uncheck "sync contacts" in the "Accounts" settings screen. You may still have to edit the contact and remove the +1 from the number, but you will now be able to send text to these specific contacts.
I trust I have answered your questions, and have addressed your concerns.
