Hi,
I have had my Droid X for 6 months. Recently, on some days, the battery has started draining in 3-4 hours, with minimal usage. I have tried turning Wireless, GPS and Bluetooth off, deleting my live wall papers, taking the battery out etc. On some days the battery will last 12-14 hours before draining to a critical level. The only thing that I have noticed is that the Droid OS runs over 80% when the battery drains quickly and 2-3% when it lasts all day. Does anyone know what might cause the Droid OS to run so high?
Any help would be appreciated....

Kath since your X is just six months old Does it by chance have a 2 GB card or have you updated to say like a 16GB with a small card an if you have got a quite a Few apps pictures or Music it might be wearing on it a bit.
An a Bigger Sd might Be the Thing to Help an if you have only a small battery i would push up to an extended Battery the one for the X2 will work in your X. An One other thing i would do if you have'nt Done since purchasing the phone is a Factory Reset. >>> At your discretion <<<
That can resolve many little issues especially if your X has been updated to Gingerbread an it's fix update.. doing a Fr is easy I've done Fr's on my X thru each of the Os Builds Eclair , Fro-Yo an Now Gingerbread. But if doing one is not your thing the store were you bought it can Help or call Verizon go to Teck services an they can walk you thru a Fr.
So give some or all of my suggestions a Thought an see what best works for Ya! Hope you find a Salution Soon an Have a Happy Thanksgiving B33 ![]()

It could be due to THIS
There is not much that can be done, but requires things beyond warranty. Verizon has it installed on their devices, BUT they at least give you the option to OPT OUT.
