plug the phone in to your computer and windows will recognize your phone as a flash drive. Use the 2gb SD drive as your "device" in WIndows Media Player and transfer your songs to there. The built-in music app/widget will only play music from the SD drive, not from the larger 8gb phone storage... or so that is what I have found. anyway I placed a good amount of music on there with no memory issues, despite that I also have the kindle and library apps and use the phone as a reader. Of course, every CD I own would probably only take about 2-3GB, so...
