When I click on "phone" and the keypad pops up, the list of names contains all my facebook friends. How do I get rid of them and only show my contacts that I have inputted.

I don't want to get rid of facebook, because I want it to sync with my existing contacts, I just don't want it to add all fy friends.
App drawer> People> Menu > View then under option only check those that apply.
I already tried that. Facebook is not checked. When I click on people they are listed, but when I click on phone they are.
You can't do it. You can select which contacts to list as explained above in the People app, but from the phone dialer, or selecting contacts inside the Messages app, it shows all contacts regardless of the people app setting.
So the real fix is to turn off the Facebook for HTC Sense if it realy annoys you that bad.
