How do I save a photo that was sent to my Droid by way of a text message to my Gallery? It seems like my only options are to save it as a wallpaper or as a contact icon...
I use Handcent SMS, so this might not work for you, but...
1 - Open the text message thread in question.
2 - Click the menu button (the lines, second from left)
3 - Select More
4 - Select Save MMS
5 - Check the item(s) in question
6 - Click Copy attached to SD Card
Success. The file is now on the SD card. From there, I have either gone and found it in the gallery and mailed it or will connect to PC, mount the card, pull the image/movie down.
