Thanks for all the feedback and suggestions!

Montalvomom, depending on what type of phone your daughter has, you may have other options.  If she has a basic feature phone, you can reprogram the phone over-the-air by dialing *228 (Select Option 1 - Programming option), which will reset the default phone lock code back to the last four digits of her mobile telephone number. (This is the case for most feature phones.)  However, if she has a Smartphone/PDA/Blackberry, this would require either knowing the phone lock code, or master resetting the device, which will evidently erase all of the phone's data.

Let me know if this answers your question!

Take the phone from her and refuse to return it until she gives you the code and you look at the messages.

Or you could suspend the line until you get the information. You are paying for the line of service, right?

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Are you kidding me? Take her phone away from her. If she refuses to hand it over, then disconnect the line. Be a parent man!     Make sure you keep an eye on those text messages.... Kids do some interesting things these days... (or so I hear on the news)
