How long to charge the phone when out of the box???

Question

Okay............I'm suppose to get my new Moto Droid on Wed.  When it comes new in the box, does it come charged......if not, how long am I suppose to charge it to be safe???  Thanks for any help!!!

Charge it for 2 hours, Droid will let you know when it's done,  just check the screen.
