I received a text message with some pictures. I'd like to print a copy of those pictures. I thought you just use your USB cord and attached it from my Droid X to my computer than searched for those pictures.
Would someone send me the "steps" on how to print those pictures?

Thank you all for the suggestions. We would like to add some additional information. You do need to save the picture first, to your memory card. Then, you can attach the device to your PC with the USB cable. This will transfer all pictures and videos to your computer. You can then print the pictures from your computer.
To Save the picture
1. Go to Text Messages view, threader veiw that shows the pic preview when its not opened.
2. Press and hold on Pic
3. Select Save from the list\
4. Now the pic should be saved in SD/Messages folder
Thank you

After you connect the DX to your PC using the USB cable, you have to set the DX to USB mass storage.
Menu - notifications. Then your DX will show up on your PC as a flash drive. You can either print them from there or copy them to your PC first.

Huh??? You say after I connect my USB cord from my DX to my PC, set it to mass storage. I consider myself a little above a computer literate beginner, but I do not know what you mean by setting it up to mass storage. How do you do that?

I already told you. Menu - notifications.
You should see USB connection. Change it to USB mass storage.

I did pull down the menu and did see that USB Storage has been already selected. But here is where I am lost. Since its already my DX is already on USB Storage, what do I do next to view the pictures that I want to print.
Here is what I did: As soon as I saw that USB storage was selected, I click on "start on my PC, than selected computer to see where this flash drive is located. I presume I saw the flash drive which was labled Motorola, but when I double click on that it brought me some three files on that click. None of the files lead me to the pictures.
What am I doing wrong?

The phone creates two drives, one CD ROM and a SD CARD the SD Card will be the last letter on the computer, in the screen shot mine is J", just look for last letter and open and images will be in "Messaging" folder.
Make sure you saved the files to card first... JUST VIEWING IT DOESNT SAVE FILE... Follow instructions below to save....
Save Files
SMS
1. Go to Text Messages view, threader veiw that shows the pic preview when its not opened.
2. Press and hold on Pic
3. Select Save from the list\
4. Now the pic should be saved in SD/Messages folder
1. Open Email
2. At top there should be the number and the words "View Attachments" - Click on View Attachments
3. Now you should have a list of attachments with a arrow next to it if not downloaded.
4. Click file you want to download and you should get a animation where the arrow was that is indicating its being downloaded.
5. Once the animation stops this means file has been downloaded to a temp file to be viewed.
6. Now Press and Hold on file text and a window should open with three options - VIEW - SAVE- and SHARE
7. Select Save from list
8. Once complete it will have a little message at bottom of page that says "File was downloaded to SD Card"
9. Now file will be saved in SD / Messages folder on SD Card.

Have you tried any of those apps? Most of them appear to be brand specific. I tried printer share or something like that to print to my Lexmark printer and it didn't work.

I use "Printer Share" on my Droid X and my HP C6280 All in one printer and it works great. However, your printer must be connected to your wireless router. (Not your computer) Mine had to be connected this way because when I updated my computer to W7 64bit, and my wifes laptop was XP 32bit, well W7 and XP don't play nice on a home network. So, in order to get my wifes laptop to be able to print I connected the printer to the router directly and then downloaded the correct printer drivers to both mine and my wifes computers.
Anyway, since your wireless phone can connect to your wi-fi router, it can therefore find the printer that is connected to it. (your phone can't find your printer if it's connected to your computer, even if your computer is connected to your router)
Now "Printer Share" works with many printers, actually when setting up printer share on my "X" the app had to download the driver for my printer from somewhere. Either the Market or the printer share web site.
Now that I have printer share working on my phone, I can print Pictures, web pages, my calendar, contacts, messages, my call log, G-mail, RoadRunner e-mail, Google docs, and any documents. i.e excell, and others.
It has options when printing like picture size, page margins, paper size, and others. I use it more than I thought I would. When I first got it I thought it would be more of a novelty with a "Coolness" factor but i do print quite a bit from my phone.
It is kind of pricey for an app, (It was $9.99 I believe) but now that I have it I wouldn't want to give it up.
Good Luck,

Good Luck,
My printer is wifi with its IP coming from the router via DHCP. The printer share software finds my printer just fine. I couldn't find the drivers specific to my Lexmark printer for printer share so I picked drivers from a different Lexmark, it says it's printing, but nothing comes out.

Yeah, I've already looked at that, mine is not on the list. I was hoping some were similar though.

I figured you probably had seen it... I posted it "just in case".....
I guess now it depends on how bad you want to be able to print from your phone....... Hehe!... Is there a new printer in your future?
Actually, if my printer hadn't worked I don't think I would've purchased a new one..... but....
Good luck.
