How to assign recently bought ringtones to individual contacts?

This is tough to explain, because is should be SO simple.

 

I bought some Ringback Tones from Verizon and they eventually got transferred to my new Incredible.  But I can't seem to be able to get them into my ringtone selections.  I can make them play on the other person calls me, but I can't get them to play when a certain person calls me!  For instance, I have a certain song that I want played when my X wife calls me so I know it's her, but the only thing I can to with them is have that ringtone play on her phone when she calls me!  Even my 13 year old daughter can't figure this out, and if she can't, I certainly can't.

 

Let's say I go to my contacts and pick my X, down a way it has a selection the says "Ringtone" and I can select the one I want to play when she calls...BUT the new ringtones I bought don't show up as a choice.

 

How do I get them to be a choice???

Go to your music player application, see if you can find the ringtone file then set as ringtone.

That's the problem.  I can only see my ringtone downloads in "V CAST Tones" and there is NO option for assigning them to an incoming call.  Again, the only option is to assign them to the person that's calling you...they hear my ringtone on their end.  What I want is the standard...for a certain ringtone to play on MY phone when a particular person calls me.
