How to delete all Facebook contacts and prevent sync?

How can I delete all the Facebook contacts that were imported into my HTC?

When first logged into FB, I selected the "Don't Sync" option, but my choice was ignored.

I had already cleared all the data in Contacts which wiped out both Googlel and FB contacts, and then re-imported my Google contacts. Unfortunately, it seems my FB contacts are still appearing even though I set FB to not sync contacts.

Thanks to the community for your responses. As SydneyK mentioned I would go to People>a press the menu key>press view>uncheck Facebook. You will then have to go into your contacts and unlink each Facebook contact you don’t want to be syncing. Also, are you using the native app or one from the market? Hope this helps. Thanks.

Open the People app, then press the menu key and View. Does it help if you uncheck HTC Sense?

Another thing you can try is open each contact and unlink by pressing the icon in the upper right.
