Is that not happening?

While I have been able to remove the Let's Golf icon from my home screens, I don't seem to be able to permanently delete the app from the phone. I try to do so from Settings, and it seems to work, but after the phone is turned off and back on, the app seems to be there in the app list.

Lets Golf is one of the apps that came pre-installed on your device from Verizon. There is no way to remove these apps without voiding your warranty, which cannot be discussed here.

Thanks to the community for responding.
JoeNe,
You are correct. Pre-installed applications on your device can't be removed. If you have downloaded an application and would like to remove it please follow these steps:
- Menu
- Settings
- Applications
- Manage Applications
- Select the desired application.
- Uninstall
Thank you all for being part of Verizon Wireless.

Well, interesting stuff. While trying to learn about another unrelated feature, I entered the settings>applications>manage applications menu, and decided to highlight the Let's Golf 2 app for uninstallation. I was able to uninstall the app without fuss. My phone is not rooted or altered in any way - absolutely stock.
Guess we'll see if the app re-appears when I reboot next.

Dear maxbuck,
Let us know if it STAYS uninstalled. I tried that several times, and each time it appeard to uninstall the app. But when I turned the phone off and back on, back came Let's Golf 2.
I understand from other posts/threads that it is a "burned in" app from Verizon that you can't get rid of without rooting or some other procedure that members of this forum can't discuss here without the risk of sanction!

But when I choose the app I want to uninstall, the uninstall tab is disabled and will not respond. Also, I keep getting this message that my text message memory is full, my phone memory is full, etc., so I can't receive texts. I've deleted all my texts, pics I don't want to keep, everything I can think of and it still keeps happening. What can I do to fix this?
