Good morning elgaucho.

This is a great question, as I had to actually go through my own phone to find this answer.  When you open a page in your Bookmarks, the URL has a lock next to it, correct?  The pages with the lock are the Bookmarks you created, (not VZW default Bookmarks).  Below I have provided you with the steps to delete Bookmarks.

1. Open the Web Browser

2. Select Menu.

3. Select Bookmarks.

4. Select Menu again.

5. Select Delete

6. Tap on the pages you want deleted.

7. Select Delete again.

Thank you,

The long press and select delete method of removing bookmarks does not work with locked bookmarks. How do we get rid of *locked* bookmarks?

Hello tnolan,

Just to piggyback off my co-worker's posting, there are some default bookmarks that have a lock on the device! Those bookmarks can not be unlocked and removed from the device as they are a part of the default web browser. May I ask is there a specific reason as to why you want to delete them? Since these are commonly used bookmarks, many find them to be quite helpful. If available memory is a concern then please confirm as I can share tips and tricks to keep memory usage low.

Thank you...

Who determines what bookmarks cannot be unlocked and removed from the device? There are bookmarks that I do not use, have no use for, and I find it extremely annoying that I cannot delete a bookmark that I don't want or use. Why does Verizon think they get to determine what bookmarks I must have? Again, how do I remove the bookmarks that I don't want?

It's no big deal...I just wanted to get rid of the locked bookmark for Droid Does, since I  never use it since I won't be phone shopping for a long time to come. If I can't, I can't...I'll just continue to ignore it. Thanks for the reply.
