How to get the X to vibrate when I get a text.

I just want my phone to vibrate when I get a text message. I have the vibrate option set to Always. It will vibrate with a call, but not the text. Anybody have any ideas. Thanks alot.

Are you using the stock messanging app? If so, have you been to the "messaging settings" found within the messaging app (click the bottom left hard button and look for "messaging settings")? There are settings there to set the message tone as well as the message vibrate alert.

If you have done all of this and are still having trouble, I'd download and try the Handcent messaging app. It is far and away better than the stock messaging app.

Go into your messaging app, hit menu, settings, notification settings.

Ok great. I had no idea that there were setting w/in the messaging app. Thank you very much for you help. My co-workers with Droids could not figure it out either. Thanks again.
