With any device with an usb port you can plug your device into the port on the tv. Once you have done this just choose which files to access. Hope this helps.

Micro USB to USB cable, the one that came with the phone.

I've never seen a TV with a USB port.  Mine doesn't have HDMI either, only DVI. What I planned to do was use DLNA with my PS3 to watch my recorded videos.  The PS3 recognizes the droid, unfortunately it doesn't play the .3GP video files i records.

to zrock02... you rock dude. it never crossed my mind to just use the available usb port on the rear of my samsung dlp to output video. gotta run out to my car and grab my original charger and give it a whirl. You`ll be added to my xmas card list if it works. lol

unfortunately for me my samsung dlp has a powered usb port that once i connect my x to the set the tv takes over control and all functions are done by my tvs remote and even though i can view pictures and listen to music from the x i`m unable to view video content to my tv. found a promising app on the market called real hdmi which is supposed to allow all video content to be playable through the hdmi port.

You will need a down-convert device that transfers digital signal into analog with RCA outputs...

In reality what you are trying to do is the equivalent of putting a BluRay movie onto a VCR tape.   I'm sure the image will be horrible.

Turn on WiFi. Conect to your home network. Configure your TV with an Internet connection,  Use a Samsung Blu Ray player with Internet if your TV doesnt have it. Use DLNA to stream your video via the Touter to the BluRay and then to your TV.  I think that is in Help Center in the Launcher on your X.
