LOST HOME HAD TO MOVE FROM HOME TO A APARTMENT, WHAT MY PROBLEMS IS IN THE APARTMENT I HAVE TO GO OUTSIDE TO MAKE A PHONE CALL. IS THERE ALL ANYTHING I CAN DO TO GET BETTER RECEPTION IN THE APARTMENT.. OPEN FOR SUGGESTIONS HOW I FOUND OUT I HAD TO CALL 911 AND IT DID NOT WORK IN SIDE HAD TO GO OUTSIDE TO MAKE THE CALL.. COULD MY PHONE BE DEFECTIVE?

sounds like the building is blocking hte signal, it happens
you can do several things
1. move
2. rebuild the building so it allows a signal in
3. get a network extender
i think 3 is the correct answer, but hey the otheres are options
Cellular signals can be obstructed by buildings/structures, so it is quite possible that this is why you do not get a signal inside your apartment.
If you must have a better/any signal inside your apartment and have a broadband internet connection inside your apartment, you could improve your signal by purchasing a Network Extender from Verizon. There is a purchase price of $250, but there are no monthly fees.
No insult intended, but you know when the wireless network has became consistant enough that when you dont get reception you thinks it strange.... It just sounds like you moved into a bad reception area and a Network Extender is probally the best solution.. My house is called the Dead Zone because no pervider gets reception at my house but Verizon but I also have a Network Extender to help..
Several months back VZW was offering free Network Extenders. I was able to get one for free through this program, you might try calling and asking if this program is still available.
