I can't either and Verizon web and help is no good.
I agree, there isnt enough information to give any answers..
without any particulars, this is the only help that one could give.
Here is a chart of ISP and the settings to use a smartphone with their email accounts. Set up your X to use the settings that pertain to your ISP.
I have the same problem with my Droid X and my cox.net account and have been told that cox is not "compatible" with the Droid X yet.....what ever that means. I can get all my other emails on my Droid X EXCEPT my cox.net . I had no problem getting it on my old phone, and my son can get it on the Droid incredible. Its just the Droid X. Go figure.
Noah, see my post Re: cox.net. I was told this by Cox....is this true?....they are stating its a problem with the Droid not being compatible with Cox......I've tried everything to get my email set up and it won't work.
This seem to be a COX server issue because I have read in a number of places that user have been experience the same issue and for them to blame it on the device makes no since because all the other email companies seem to have compatible settings that works, I think the statement that they reported about it not being compatible with Droid X is correct but on their end.
After searching my bookmarks I realized I found a answer that should work for this from Motorola, give it a try because I cant verify it because I dont have COX service.

Try verifying the port setting for your particular region, and use those ports when setting up your email account.
Usually for smartphones:
I am having the same issue. I have deleted the account, reinstalled, changed to several different outgoing settings I have found. I couldn't get my incoming either, but that seems to have resolved itself. I cannot do anything with the outgoing. I am SOOO frustrated. I don't know what else to do or what changes to make. It refuses to send an outgoing email. Anyone else had any success?
