I just want to say- I LOVE MY DROID X

I sit here day after day, checking every once in a while the comments and posts/ and about all the people screaming they have this problem and that problem with thier new phones.

 

Well, I'd like to be the one to say- I LOVE MY DROID X !!  I have had no problems with my phone AT ALL !! If I have a problem on making it do something, I take the time to research it and get it solved myself. This phone is a DREAM COME TRUE!

 

Once again- I LOVE MY DROID X !!!!!!!!

I agree!!! I picked up my Droid X on Day 1 (while on vacation). I had also lugged my netbook with me. I never turned it on. I did everything from my Droid X!

 

I did have some initial battery concerns but I seem to have resolved those.

 

This was the best purchase I ever made and I don't regret replacing my BB Storm2!

I too am really, really happy with the phone.  It is my first smartphone.  Service on the phone is phenomenal, sound quality, picture quality! 

 

I am a little shocked at how people are throwing temper tantrums about shipping time, availablity and minor issues.  It's technology and electronics people!  When it is mass produced, there will be lemons!  People are acting like 3 year olds "I want it now!  I don't want to wait!"  Really???  You can't wait one more day or one more week to get something that is in high demand and they scream about how bad VZW is and how terrible the service is.  I truly believe that VZW is doing everything they can to provide great service (as usual) and within reasonable timelines and human capabilities.    You think VZW will hurry up and call you because you write a little rant on the forum???  Why would anyone hurry up and contact someone who has a screw loose and is looking to pin someone to the wall?

 

It is disgusting how people act really.  I have had lemon phones before-- and if you call nicely and have your issues logged they will work to resolve the issues the best they can.  Its electronics people:  might want to keep one of your old phones on hand just in case something goes wrong and you have a back-up while you get your fixed or replaced.

 

My favorite saying:  You catch more flies with honey than vinegar. 

 

I took 3 minutes out of my day to write Customer Service and thank them for the help that they provided me in the upgrade process-- they did go out of their way for me to upgrade-- and I let them know that I appreciated that. 

 From one really happy Verizon customer to another, lets all take a few minutes to send a quick message and let them know what went RIGHT with your transaction!!!

I agree, got mine on the 15th and it's been flawless so far.  I think one thing to keep in mind is that on these types of forums most folks are here because of problems that they are trying to resolve.  Also, in general those with problems tend to be the most vocal.

 

As with most forums, it's best to just take everything with a grain of salt, but it's worth keeping an eye on things as common issues do often come to light through forums as well.

it's just like a restaurant or anything else. more people will go out of their way to give a bad review or complain, than will go out of their way to compliment something. it was the same with the htc inc. people actually get scared off from purchasing these devices after coming to this forum. they don't realize that for the few dozen issues/complaints here, there are a couple hundred thousand happy X users. and like the above mentioned....griping about shipping? anyone that was born after 1950 has seen the nintendo, play station, kindle, iphone, xbox, or even tickle me elmo. when it comes to hot electronics, there is ONE way to get it when you want it. you go to the store at midnight and wait for them to open the doors. ANY method other than this (and sometimes even this method) will typically leave you waiting longer than you'd like for that item. is this really news to people???? someone posted about his overnight shipping not coming on sat or sun???? really? i guess many people don't order online or don't deal with shipping much. i just thought that everyone knew sat and sun isn't a business day? anyhow...i'm stalkin the X boards to see if i want to trade my inc.

I love my droid x too... I didn't get it until this past Monday, but that was my fault because I read the shipping selections wrong (Actually thought that it was Next Day by 7pm or Next Day by 3pm for 9 bucks more)............ oops...

 

I have good volume in my speaker, no screen problems, battery life is a little short but is lasting the whole day, but hey, 4.3 inches of screen will kill the battery after a while.  The battery does last a decent amount of time. I drive an hour each way back and forth to work, so it is plugged in then (playing with the GPS and Navigation), and have been doing a lot of searching on the market place, looking at the different settings on a lot of different things, so my use is not my typical use from before. But being this is my first smartphone, I am not sure what is going to be my 'normal' usage anymore.

 

My droid has replaced a planned purchase of a new MP3 player (Original Zune 30 is starting to die), a planned purchase of a Tom Tom or Garmin, and has replaced my pocket pc.

 

I have a couple of things that I haven't figured out yet, but that is either going to be settings that I have not figured out yet, or it will not be possible with the Android OS. Either way, it is fine with me.

 

and one problem I had yesterday that I figured out today.. I thought I might of had a problem with the camera not taking pictures when I pressed the shutter button on the Droid... figured out this morning that I was only pressing down for the focus and I had to press the button Farther down to take the picture...........  oops...

 

 

now if I can only figure out why I do not get text notifications when the screen is off...  hmmmmmmm
