Now, these issues may be with Verizon. Well, one of them maybe. But the other is with my Droid X. So, I'm determining if I need to send it back and get a new one. Forgive me if they've been answered, I didn't see them when I was searching.
Problem 1 - Whenever I connect a USB cord from my PC to my Droid X, the Droid X automatically reboots. Is this a setting issue, cord issue, or what? I guess I have tried from different cords, and the problem doesn't happen often, if ever. But it does happen. But at work, it happens everytime I connect the cord.
Problem 2 - Whenever the phone does reboot, or I turn it off for the night, the first phone call I place in the morning does not connect on my end. I do not hear it ringing, but I see it has connected. The party I am dialing receives the call, but they only hear dead air.
Can anyone advise if maybe these are problems with firmware 2.3.3.340 or if this is a problem with solely my phone, and what I can do to alleviate these issues?
Thanks in advance,
- Scott.

On problem one, what cord are you using? This usually happens if you are using a third party cord. If you are using a third party cord, or an old cord from another cell phone, you might want to purchase a second cord from Verizon made specifically for the Droid X.
On problem two. How long do you wait for the Droid to boot up before you make the call? If it's immediately after the screen comes on, that's too soon. The Droid is still searching for the provider. It takes a couple of minutes before it connects to the Verizon system. If you are waiting until the connection is made, sounds like something is wrong with the phone.

My phone lately has been rebooting when I plug it in to the computer. I'm using the cord that came with the phone.

Is the problem reproduceable? if it IS, I would boot the phone into SAFE MODE and see id you can reproduce the issue. If you CAN, it is likely a problem with the phone itself, or the cable as someone else suggested.
To test in SAFE MODE:
- Power OFF the phone
- Press and HOLD the Menu button (far left button)
- While HOLDING the Menu button, power up the phone -- but continue to HOLD the Menu button
- The phone should eventually come up and say "DAFE MODE" in lower left corner. Release the Menu button.
TEST .... If you cannot reproduce the issue, your problem was likely introduced by a 3rd party APP -- time to start removing APPS, or do a Soft reset.
Good luck.

Download and install Motorola_Mobile_Drivers_4.7.1_MotoConnect_1.1.31.exe from http://www.mediafire.com/?yg3q3xgajgbh6w6because the new version removed this option...
Once the installation has completed you can go into your Control Panel/Programs and Features area and uninstall JUST the MotoConnect application from the list and leave the drivers installed.
This should install all drivers needed to the system without having the MotoConnect app installed and you should be able to access card without issues and copy any type of file you want to the sd card.
Follow installation process listed above and then follow instruction here.
It appears that the main issue that cause the driver loading issue is a conflicting driver already installed at time the correct driver is loaded but the old driver wasnt being uninstall automatically, if you or any one run into this issue again the trick is to open the Motorola Driver Installer.exe that is in startmenu under Motorola folder and select the "CLEAN AND REINSTALL" option from app and select start and all old drivers will uninstall and the correct drivers will be loaded... I was able to duplicate the driver install issue twice and both times I was able to fix with these instructions..
Hope this resolves user driver and SD Card access installation issue
