I'm surprised no one has said about 2.2.....

I told you so.
There's a [edited because i overexaggerated ] handful of people with issues over this update. I don't quite understand why it works great and fine for me but not for everyone else.
All those posts for Verizon to rush out this update or there will be masshysteria and lawsuits should be ashamed of themselves. Now the complaints will start to roll in about an unfinished, buggy and rushed release.

Well, one thing to consider is that out of all those Droid Xs being sold (and they are STILL taking a week or two to be delivered), how many people TOTAL actually have problems?
I don't have to tell you that most of the folks not having problems will never be heard from (except the Old Geeks Club, gee, wonder who's in THAT bunch...). There's what, a few hundred folks posting around here that are commenting one way or the other? Not an accurate representation of the total number of Xs in use.
I suspect that there is a relatively low number of people having issues, although with my luck, the headlines tomorrow will be screaming "Major Problems Erupt from FroYo". Of course, even ONE phone with problems from the update is too many. But I doubt that this will ever change.
Oh, well, fun stuff to ponder ("Oh, SURE, Gerio, Ponder away, yer phone is workin and mine AIN'T!!" Sorry and good luck!).

True true true...I wasnt trying to stir up...well maybe a little. But, those who have real issues should definately speak up here on the forums. My post was more directed towards those who post only to post negativity.

I called it in post number 35 of this thread.
Some people are just impatient, and believe any rumor that is negative.

Droid Xs being sold (and they are STILL taking a week or two to be delivered),
Just maybe thats because it's the most popular phone out there.

Apparently. Yesterday, my Verizon store said that there's still around a week wait. They even said that one can be had quicker by buying online.
There's two places around here where iPhones can be bought.
And they are available. No waiting....

I've been mostly on the motorola support forum and there have been quite a few (in my opinion) people expressing problems, concerns, frustrations with Droid X as a whole and now the 2.2 update. More so at least it seems then on these forums.

I am waiting for the reason for the locked "M" screens. I got one of the original shipment on 7/16 (reserved it on 7/15) from my local Verizon store. The Droid X has been flawless so far. I pulled the 2.2 update over WiFi and it took about 10 minutes, start to finish. Again, no problems or issues. I love the "phone" .
I know this may be controversial and is just speculation but I have to wonder how many of those having problems are loaded up with apps, some questionable, or tried root and the leaked version and reverted back for the OTA update (and of course will not and cannot admit it if they want to get a replacement)? I have several apps loaded but all from the market and have explored and reset settings to my preferences. I read many threads in other forums about root and the leaked versions but with considerable computer experience I never considered that as an acceptable direction. I waited patiently (ha) for the OTA.
As an OLD geek wannabe I am much more cautious and consider my Droid a very useful and convenient tool, not a toy. Many computer beta software programs were buggy, often due to conflicting software. I am waiting for the answer and hope we get one soon.
