Incorrect battery meter

Has anyone had this problem with their Moto Droid? I've had problems before where the red light will blink on it and say that 15% charge remains. Then, once I go to plug it in, I can see that there's at least 60% charge left. I'm using the original stock battery if that helps.

Question: is this a new phone or battery

you should try to calibrate your phone to the battery by allowing the phone to discharge from a full charge. Let it go to zero a few times allowing the phone to calibrate it. Charge it a few times to full then let it discharge completely to zero and make sure you don't recharge it during this process.

after some more thought the battery may need to be replaced if the calibration cycle does not work. good luck

My phone has done that to me about once a month. Not sure why though. I've asked verizon and 1 had never heard of anything like it and the other rep had heard others having the issue, but couldn't remember why it happened or how to fix it. I'm having other issues with my phone besides the battery at the moment.
