I am trying to have my Yahoo mail delivered to my phone. When I try to set up a new account in the email app I choose Yahoo as my mail provider and then enter the email address and password. When I hit "next", it gives me the following message: Warning 503 80302: You have already added this email account.
However...when I go into email the only account that shows up is my home account through my cable provider that I had established.
Any ideas???

I went to the post listed below that is also on this message board. Instead of using the Yahoo selection from the menu when creating a new email account....I chose the "other(POP3/IMAP)" set-up option and set up the account using the "manual" option following the instructions in the other posting that I have put the link to below.
It works fine now.

Well I don't have smart phone like this but I do know that the free yahoo mail does not have pop forwarding to mail clients so is that what has to happen so it goes to your phone? If you pay for yahoo mail plus then you get pop forwarding. Not sure if that applies here or not since I don't have email on my phone so will be curious to see if that's it. Mary

Ok trying to understand is that what you do for phones is pop forward the mail to a mail client like you do if you use outlook and such on the computer? Just asking because on the computer I can't pop forward the free version of yahoo mail to my email client on the desktop unless I pay for yahoo mail plus. Mary

There is a free Yahoo Mail app in Android Market that will push your email to your phone as soon as it hits the servers. I must warn you that it is a big battery drainer. There is another way to get Yahoo Mail that isn't automatic. In the Market there is an app just called "Yahoo". When opened it takes you to Yahoo's page where there is a mail link to check your email. With this app you just check your email manually by pressing the mail icon. Much better on battery life.
