Incredible 2 powers down and then powers back up when it feels like it

I am on my 4th Incredible 2 ,have talked to Verizon and Htc , units sim card and battery have been replaced . Thought it was my Bluetooth headset purchased another type  . Thought it was my sync in my motor vehicle but not always using it . It actually power down today while in the house with no bluetooth or sync going only being charged .

Great news! There is an update for the Incredible 2. It is not an update to the Gingerbread software, but is an update to the current device software. Here is a link to view the instructions, as well as the benefits, so you can perform the update.

i had this problem with my first one.  Not only would it reboot itself, but it would call people on my Favorites list.  I would even get phantom calls off my Favorites list.  When I answered, nobody was there and the person who supposedly called me said they hadn't called.  Anyway, after exchanging it for a new one those problems are gone.  

 

I would suggest a new phone, but if you are on your 4th one I don't know what to suggest except to try a factory reset and to make sure all the software is upgraded to current.

I have had a few random times where my phone restarts; I realize it is a glitch but also wondered if I was somehow holding down the power button while it was in my pocket. I really wish this phone didn't have so many glitches; I had the Incredible and had to replace it due to damage, and they only would send the Incredible 2. Sometimes I miss my first one!!

I just bought this phone and am having this problem. When I go to do software update, there are no updates. Any other suggestions for fixing this?

I would first like to know the software version that is currently installed on your Incredible 2?  I'm including a link below with instructions and screen shots of how to check the software version:
