Interantional service

I purchased my Droid which I really like in Dec because I am going to be traveling alot in Asia starting next week. Today I went to activate my International service and found out that last week Verizon suspended service in Asia. Now if I want to use my phone there it is going to cost me an arm and a leg to use my phone while traveling. Now a big company like Verizon should be able to work this out instead of hanging a longtime customer out to dry. I am so frustrated because I am in a contract that is virtually useless to me now. Anyone else have this problem? If so please send your complaints to Verizon so they will address this.

The Droid is a CDMA only phone, with that said, you would not find CDMA coverage in many areas in Asia.  I believe only parts of South Korea and Japan provide CDMA coverage, and Japan coverage will only allow you to pull data, no voice.  So your argument there is mute at best as your device wouldn't allow you connection to those international services even if VZW still had them.
