I've been using my D'Inc2 with WiFi on the 2.4GHz frequency. Is the phone capable of doing WiFi on the 5GHz frequency as well?
[If you want to know why I'm asking: I have an app that controls my Samsung HDTV, but in order to use it, both my phone and my TV need to be on the same frequency. My TV uses the 5GHz frequency for streaming content.]
The specifications lists 802.11 b/g/n for the Wifi network types it can connect too. It didn't say anything about the frequency.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
The 5GHz frequency band is not accessible on the D'Inc 2. I don't know whether it's a hardware issue (no support in the chip) or a software issue (not implemented.)
If the 5GHz band was accessible it would show up in the phone's network survey.
