Is there a known issue with texts not going through?

I've tried all the different network settings - 4g, 3g, wifi - and only managed to get 1out of 35 outgoing text attempts to work.

Thank you so much for bringing your texting issue to our attention.

I know how important being able to text is to me; therefore, I can understand your concerns when your new phone is not able to do this feature.

It does appear that Samsung is aware of this issue. It is under investigation at this time. 

In the meantime, what has resolved the messaging is powering the Charge off, remove the battery  & SIM card for a few seconds. Once you place the battery & SIM card back in the phone and power back on texting should work.

Yes and no.

Another Droid Charge owner had the same problem, and a VZW employee got involved, but it is not clear from the thread whether anything is being done about the problem.  You may want to PM the employee and check, then let us all know if you find out.

thanks for the update.

 

My Droid Charge is only 2 days old and the texting issue is the first problem that I've encountered.

 

It occured right after I turned on the phone for the very first time.  I activated the phone and made

a couple of test calls.  Then I used the default messaging to send text.   The first 10 all failed.

The eleventh got through... then all the ones after that failed. 

 

I powered off the phone and restarted it.  Texting worked fine again.   Until today....  it's acting

up again and all said "FAILED" immediatly after I pressed send.   

 

This is limited to outgoing texts only.   All incoming text have been received quickly without any

problems.

 

I hope there is an update to fix this issue soon.

With my Samsung Charge the texting problem is that when I dictate the text message it does no go through.  It just disappears probably to some other world..
