Issue with My Verizon app.

I just got my phone a few hours ago, and tried running the My Verizon app. It told me that I needed to update it, so I did so. Once it finished downloading and installing successfully, I attempted to run the app again, and it gives me the same message saying that I need to update it. I've tried uninstalling the update, and re-installing. Nothing. Any help? This is my first smartphone. Thank you.

After u do the update power off or reset ur phone and it will stop that. I had that issue as well.

I'm having the same problem. No luck shutting it down.  Every time I look at my phone it tells me the app failed and I can force close or send. I get this every 30 seconds. Any one else still having this issue?

I had the problem on my new one.  My dealer talked to Verizon, they opened a ticket, and got out a fix the same day.  Not sure what they did, I got a message saying restart it and it worked.  So there is hope :manhappy:

I know that message showing up every 30seconds can be a bit annoying.  The restarting of the application should assist you.  Are you still having issues with the app?  If so, please let me know so I may further assist.  Thank you.

I have tried uninstalling, powering off, etc. several times. I am still getting the stupid force close message everytime I try and do anything!

Hello everyone!!

cb7386, I really like the convenience of having My Verizon readily available to me on my device.

I hate to hear you are still having problems getting it to install. This concern has previously been reported and the software developers are working on an update.

 

In the meantime, please go to  Menu >> Settings>> Applications >> Manage Applications >> Select ALL >> My Verizon Mobile.. Then select Clear Data >> Force Stop>> Uninstall updates.

 

Doing this should at least stop the force close error messages.

Just restart two time and it will work, I did for three phones, they all worked perfectly now.
