Why must VZW clutter up new phones with junk apps, like VZNavigator (not that that is a bad app just not needed on this device) but SKYPE, NFL, Kindle, social networks and OH MY FAVORITE BLOCKBUSTER, City ID? Just to name a few, I mean Come on!! if someone wants " those apps" they can get them. Those of us who don't want or need them, we're stuck with them because we can't delete, uninstall or turn them off, so they are constantly running in the back ground. If I force close, with in a few minutes they are running again STEALING precious resources. Your so concerned about customer service, so why condemn those of us who don't want them with unwanted or JUNK apps.

The basic no-nonsense answer is that they make money by featuring these vendors' apps as pre-installed apps included on the phone.
But that answer wll nowhere near satisfy you, I'm fully aware.
Do a search on "pre-installed apps" in the Droid forums.
You will be kept quite busy for a long time.
(I know what you guys were expecting...)

Very true Gerio, this is a horse that has been beaten to death. Unfortunately, you can not delete them (wish we could), however, there is an apps you can download where it allows you to hide the icons from the Apps Drawer, Launcher Pro. The basic apps is free.

Yes, it would appear that you are one of the few.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I had to give props to the house because this subject is becoming like a reoccuring dream (NOT A GOOD ONE), as soon as one thread finally dies down on this subject another user decides to start another, can we give this a rest? Verizon isnt he only one that does this and this isnt a new practice, the easy solution is to just go with Launcher Pro and hide the apps from the app drawer..... The apps do not effect the system or uses any heavy resources or space so can we PLEASE!!!! Give this topic a rest and move on?
No disrespect to OP but as others have pointed out, The Search Bar is Your Fiend..
