Verizon hasn't published the order in which updates are sent. It doesn't appear to be based on longevity.

Do you have the Eris? Sad... I will be checking my phone all day tomorrow. My friend has a rooted version and it is pretty sweet.. but he does have it overclocked to 800 mhz...

Go get you a new phone man.. you are all over this stuff.. or Verizon should give you one for doing half of their customer service duties in here.

Nope don't got the Eris. I have the G1 by T-mobile. I have read many articles saying 2.2 won't becoming to G1.  I am disappointed, but am looking forward to do an upgrade in the holiday season. With the new toy phone it should come with 2.2 or even another update from 2.2. 

I am a female by the way   I do want a new phone, but at the same time I LOVE my G1. We are so attached to each other. Like I said I'll wait until my upgrade comes. I'll have plenty of phones to choose from

ohh makes sense.. just like posting on Verizon's forums huh? T-mobile has no service here... they actually told me no when I went in...

The G1 is an awesome phone for its time. The new Samsung phones look good, but they have the worst support and never update their phones. If you stay with them wait for the HSPA + phones when they release them.

I am a Verizon customer too. So I am a Verizon and T-mobile customer. That was nice T-mobile told you they didn't get service in your area & did not lie.  No worries on the assumption.  I love 2pac. He was simply amazing. I agree the G1 was an awesome phone and is retired now. Considering it was the first android phone to be released, I am proud to own it.
