About three weeks ago, I received my new HTC Incredible 2 in the mail. I was so excited, because I have been saving up for a long time to get a smart phone. I did lot's of research & felt like I was getting a really good phone for the money. About two weeks along, my speaker (the one that relays incoming calls) began to sound extremely staticy & metallic. However, since I was out of town on business & I believed I had a 30 day return policy (as did the last phone I purchased), I waited to report the problem until I got back into town. Now customer service tells me that since it is past 14 days (apparently the new return policy) all they can do is give me a reconditioned phone. Help! I have been with Verizon for years & have been very happy. I don't feel like this is fair at all. I have only had the phone for 3 weeks! It should really last longer than that & this is not the level of service I have come to expect from Verizon at all. If it had been several months, I could understand the used phone, but 3 weeks?! You've got to be kidding me. I paid for a new phone & that is what I want. I feel like they sold me defective merchandise & are now trying to stick me with this lemon.
The highest customer service rep I was able to speak with was Adam in the Lincoln call center. Should I contact corporate?
At this point I am really considering switching to the service provider that the rest of my family uses. I have been the last hold out with Verizon for years, but this is very disheartening.
Suggestions?

I sorry to hear the confusion you are experiances but the guidelines are clearly posted in all sales paperwork and the company is following the regulations under the companies documentation.. At this point I really dont believe that speaking with corp will change things because the 14 Day policy is the return limit to return device and cancel purchase and after that time you will recieve a reconditioned device.
My suggestion is to go with the reconditioned sevice because the device should arrive in same quality as a new device.
