LCD screen won't turn on. the bottons work but......(click for more)

LCD screen won't turn on! the lower buttons light up and vibrate when i press them. Even when i slide my finger across the blank screen to unlock it, it vibrates! It hasn't been exposed to water or dropped. I am puzzled and i cannot seem to find a solution. Any ideas or similar stories?

Well I solved it....thx for all ur help. I ended up going to the verizon store to get it checked out. They took it apart and discovered that there was a frayed ribbon that sent graphic images to the screen. They then replaced it with a cpo at no cost. Awesome!

This just happened to my droid. I knocked it off the bed onto a carpeted floor. I called to have it repaired. Tried the hard starts, (1) take battery out and push power button for 3 seconds or more. Didn't work. (2) take battery out again push x on keyboard while holding power button, this didn't work. Now waiting on certified used phone as replacement for my original droid. Looking forward to renewal time to upgrade to Dro

My Droid has been sitting on my desk with the battery out for 24 hours. The LCD screen was not showing any information at all. I had called Verizon and a replacement phone is on the way. I decided to stick the battery back in the phone and see what it would do and guess what: The LCD screen is working again. Go figure. I think I will see what happens over the next few days and if it continues to work I will return the replacement phone and keep my original since I know what the history of the original one is.
