Lagging texts inbox

Apologies if this has been brought up before. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that there's a lag when I try to open my texts inbox. An action that used to take a few seconds now takes a couple of minutes. It kind of defeats the purpose of using texts for quick communication. It even lags when I try to respond to a text that already took forever to open. I've had ATK installed on my phone when the first week I got it so I dont think it's the other apps. I even cleared my inbox and cache, but I am still having the lagging issue. has anyone else had this issue and resolved it?

The ATK app is not needed. The phone was designed to close the apps on your device. Try removing the ATK app and perform a hard reset on your device. The steps are listed below to perform the hard reset.

From the home screen, touch the applications tab (located at the bottom of the display)

Touch Settings

Touch Privacy

Touch Factory Data Reset

Touch Reset Phone.
If presented, enter the current passcode or draw the unlock pattern

Touch Erase Everything

I am using ATK without issues and I do not believe this is your issue, do you have emails to auto retrieve emails or wait for you to manually do this, by chance when you notice your device doing this does it appear that the email app is retrieving information, you can tell by the animation icon in the left upper corner turning into a spinning circle, my device usually does this when emails are being retrieved at the time I am tring to access them.
