Launcher Pro or ADW?

If you all will indulge me one final question - for tonight

Which is better:  Launcher Pro or ADW?  I tried LP very briefly during the time I had the first troublesome phone so I couldn't explore a lot of it.  I did like the way all the home screens could be seen on one screen.  Can ADW do that?   Maybe I just need to download and explore both, but I'd like y'all's opinion.  Thanks!

I would say its a prefrence of which one is better, they both have there good and bads but LP is better hands down as far as I am concerned, have been using without issues, tried ADW but for some reason on my device the interface seemed to lag abit where LP has been smooth all around for me....  So I would say  LP is a keeper.

You best bet is to try them both for a week, and pick which one works for you.  They are both great in their own way.

Personally I use ADW, but my wife uses LP.  So between her and I it's 50/50

what about resizing widgets? i read on one youtube video that if you use either launcher (LP or ADW) that you can not resize widgets then and have to use what they offer or somethign like that.

also from what i was seeing on youtube, they both kinda look the same. what is the difference between really?

is the ability to use fewer screens able to speed up the Droid X more or not?

I can resize widgets with ADW, You can only do it when you first put it on though.  I am unsure about LP.

As far as speeding up the phone.  The less widgets, and the less polling of data will speed up any Android device.

Launcher Pro allows you to resize widgets just like the stock ones without issues, all you have to do is press and hold idem until the widget get highlighted and then resize with the drag tab at bottom right corner of windows.  ADW allows you to select the sizes of Widgets when adding to the home page.

I also use LP ...  it has a lot of really nice configurable features. I paid for the full version.
