Lemon?

Hey All,
I bought a new X a little over a week ago. I've been somewhat happy with it, but I've been having some issues with the screen. It has been randomly unresponsive, sometimes requiring a full reset to get it to work again (removing battery). I've noticed it leaks light around the edges, and two days ago I noticed a hairline crack around the left side of the screen. I've only had this phone for 10 days, with a cover on it the whole time (no I have not dropped it, there is not a mark on it save for the line in the screen). I've done a factory reset and no improvement. Did I get a lemon? What should I do?
edit: factory new, running 2.2 stock.

You did not get a lemon phone.
You got a damaged phone.
You need to take that puppy straight back to the store and get it exchanged.
What?? You ain't left yet?

Hi Gerio,
I called Verizon and told them, they basically said any physical damage at all and they won't touch it (the crack). They said my only options are to buy another phone or pay someone to repair it, even if I didn't drop it or soak it in water. So frustrated... I might as wells just cancel my data plan and go back to my old crappy flip phone. I've only had the thing for 10 days!

Yah, I mean I understand the policy, but from my point of view it just blows. I guess motorola will repair it for $100 or so, but it means a week or more without any phone at all... and it might cost more than $100 if the problem is more serious.

I would TAKE the phone back to the store and show it to the reps, daring them to find evidence of abuse, if indeed that is the case (I've no reason to believe otherwise, but just be honest about it).
Good luck. I stol think you got a bad phone.
