Live email will not refresh

I have not been able to refresh my email since Christmas Eve on my live email. Is this a common problem? I have seen that someone with a Yahoo account has also had this problem. Turned off, turned on, tried to manual refresh. Have not yet unloaded and reloaded.

You may want to try setting your e-mail account up under Other or as an exchange account.

Thank you. Do you think it may be a Samsung problem also? My husband is having no trouble with his Razr

Please don't post your entire name in this public forum!

From what I can tell from the threads, the issue seems to be with various phones and e-mail services, some on Ice Cream Sandwich and some on Jelly Bean.  It may be a Verizon system issue.

I hate to sound unknowing but what would the domain be for live? My work domain is ami_net. Would this be the same?

I have two AOL accounts, one is perfect, the other stopped refreshing on 1-17. I have spoken to VZ three timesn and visited their store (great techs) at Madison and 43rd in NYC.

No one could help, they recommended K9, yes, it worked, but I did not like it, downloaded the aol app, not great....

I went thru all of the recommendations of trying to close the account, add a new account, rec'd the 503 error as most readers of this will know.

Today I did one last attempt before a cold restart and it worked!!

I did the force close on the email, and it worked for me.

Next I clicked onto the native email icon on my android,

clicked on the menu button on the bottom of the screen on my Stratosphere,

clicked on accounts

clicked add account, there were no email accounts listed after the force close, whereas before i went thru this process my accounts were all visible, but I could not remove the account which would not refresh, and I could not re add it as it would not add an existing account

I added my AOL account as "others" and now both accounts are working! Really!
