Just got a Droid X and during calls im unable to send or receive picture messages (i have tried on 3g and on WIFI). when i get one it says i get it but when i click on download it does not download, as soon as i hang up i am able to get it tho. anyone else had problems with this and know a solution, all help is appriciated. i use handcent sms
The media download part of MMS uses 3G data and, on Verizon's network, data and phone cannot be used simultaneously. Unfortunately, there is no way to make this work.
That is correct but you should be able to do it if you are connected to wifi connection while on call, I do it all the time because all the app needs is a web connection.
I thought I saw somewhere that MMS wouldn't come down on wifi, only 3g, though I could either be mistaken or this has been changed. Guess its worth a shot.
I have been able to use all features of the web while on phone and using wifi, the only issue I run into from time to time is that VVM acts up but usually as soon as I allow it to access 3G again it straightens up, not sure whats with that.
