Malfunctioning touchscreen and terrible customer service

My incredible has been having problems lately where the touch screen siezes up.  Portions of it will stop working altogether such as the "t" key while texting or one quick touch will result in the equivalent of holding my finger down for a minute.  This results in infinite zooming while web browsing, long gibberish texts in alternative fonts, calling random numbers while accessing my contacts, or playing songs while browsing my music files. All of this happened especially after plugging it in to charge.

I went through the whole troubleshooting process, reprogramming, and factory reset and it still had all these problems.  I was given a number and extension to call if they continued.  As instructed, I called and left three separate messages over the course of a week and none were returned.

Finally, I called the main verizon troubleshooting number and spoke with a woman who must not have been speaking directly into the mouthpiece of her phone because I couldn't hear a word.  After a lot of repetition and "speak up, I can't hear you" she told me my phone would be replaced.  I suppose that's resolving the problem but I'm seriously disappointed with the hardware and the support.  I'll be switching as soon as my contract is up.

Did you by any chance make an attempt to calibrate the display on the phone? I had an issue the other day my screen was acting funny, calibration fixed my issue. From the home screen tap menu ; tap settings ; tap display ; scroll to g-sensor calibration; place on flat surface and calibrate.

You say you have a new phone coming in the mail, but maybe this will help you in the future. Good luck.
