Managing Contacts

I'm looking to arrange my contacts into groups such as family,friends, work etc. I created family on the phone but I can't find a way to place the contacts into it. Also I went into my gmail acct on my home computer and was able to arrange everything the way I wanted, I then went into my account on the phone and synced the contacts but nothing changed on the phone. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi folks...

I'm updating and such but really want to get my contacts into my Droid X from my old Outlook contacts info.

Tips are found where. Any of you Droid X users have suggestions as to how to get this crossover to work?

Will need to sort and work with the working info.

Once you have added your group, try pressing your menu option and there should be an option to edit your group. Once you have choosen the edit group option. Then you should have the choice to add contacts to the group and your address book will appear. I hope this works for you!

You could sync your outlook contacts to gmail, then sync from gmail to your phone. Or by far the easiest is to use the vzw backup assistant on your old phone and then sync them to your new phone.
