Media Volume

Every time I turn my phone on the media volume is at maximum.  I re-set it to a lower level and it remains there until I power down.  Then when I turn it back on, the media volume is again at maximum.  Can this be permanently set?

i believe it automatically sets at maximum on powerup. there is no way to permanently set it that i am aware of.

 I was going to suggest Auto Volume Control from the market, I use it, but the setting for media is greyed out and I can't select it.  You might also look at Ring Toggle, it may have a setting for it. I'm sure there must be some thing in the market for it.
