I have a Droid X. I keep getting a "memory card is missing" error whenever I try to access it. I removed it and reinserted it but nothing changes. I hate going to the Verizon store, but is something faulty (other than user ignorance), I guess I will have to make a trip. Anyone else have this problem. I've only had my Droid X for about a month and I am not sure I have ever been able to access it.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Do you have any photos, videos, music that you can access? If so, there is nothing wrong with your SD card because all those items are stored on the card and not on the phone. If you have a task killer, open it up and go down the list until you come to the line talking about the SD card, hold click on it until a pop up menu comes up, click on ignore. See if this helps

I was getting this after I setup Media Share to copy files to the PC. I had to change the USB connection to see the card again on the Droid X. To change the USB connection, make sure the USB cable is plugged into the computer and Droid X. Pull down the Droid X status and you should see USB connection on the status screen. Tab the USB connection and it brings up the screen where you change the USB configuration. If Pc mode isn't selected, choose it. You'll be able to see the SD card again on the Droid X. Hope this helps.
