Message system for droid like blackberry messanger?

Hello
I currenty have a bb curve, thinking about upgrading to the Droid X i was just wondering if the Droid had a messanger system ike bb does or is there an app that will allow two droids talk to each other?

There is no built in message system "like" BB messenger. But there are chat programs that accomplish the same thing. Google Talk (gtalk) for Android is the most obvious choice. It integrates with your Contacts list to show the "online status" of people listed in contacts. Give it a try. I like it.

True. Google Talk is the main primary messenger. Usually all the android phones though have a built in mobile IM for AIM,Yahoo and Yahoo too.

Not sure if this answers your quest...
I have a BB Curve now as well as my wife and several of my friends. I have used BB Messenger for a while now and never had a use for texting and never purchased that part of my plan. I upgraded my plan this past week in anticipation of the Droid X and the plan allows for unlimited texting which should be as good as BB Messenger and will now allow for others whom didn't have a BB to send me a text as well.
So texting is the same as BBM...at least in my eyes.
