Powered on my phone this evening to get the message that my sd card was not recognized/ unsupported. Fearing the worst I attempted to reseat it hoping that would fix the problem. Once I got it out I noticed it looked a bit... small. Attempted to put it in and boot it up only for no message to display. H
Having only one prior experience transferring the card it didn't immediately dawn on me the card snapped in half. Nothing terribly worth saving only I can't seem to get a grip to remove the other half ot he SD card lodged in inside the phone. Would fixing this this be as simple as something I could bring to the local Verizon store or would this be a job for Asurion/insurance of some kind?
Thanks.

I just opened mine to look at it to see how much room you would have to play with there. Not sure how far down it has broken off. You may be able to grab what is left of it if you have a set of needle point tweezers. Of course, the battery should already be out so no worry of shorting anything out that way.. Strange that it has broken off. I have never seen one do that before. I have been using the same card since I got my D1 the week they came out and have just been swapping to my new phones..

I don't think it's going to come out that way. Almost no room to play with and the miniscule part that is still left is firmly locked into place on the socket and there's nothing visible that I can grab onto with tweezers or otherwise. Tried everything I could that wouldn't scratch the sd reader housing and it won't budge.
Thought I read somewhere it operated on a spring release. Had tried pushing in the broken half of the sd card in the hopes it would go in far enough to release it and pop it out . No such luck sadly.
Just curious if my local verizon store would take a look at it or if I"m wasting my time going there.
