I got a 16gig class6 and it's sweet... with the internal memory I figure anything much more and maybe I'll just lug around my PC.

Memory Card Slot Card Type: microSD (TransFlash)
supports cards up to 32 GB.
16 GB memory card for the phone is just fine. You can fit lots of things on that.

I was told it handled 32GB by the Verizon rep when I purchased the phone. I purchased a 32 and when I put it in it came up 16GB. I called Verizon Tech support and they told me the phone was limited to 16GB Max. I was recently told by a Verizon Salesman he was thinking that it was a software limitation that Froyo (Android 2.2) would fix so the phone would handle 32GB.

IIRC it's a problem with the software that formats the cards. If you have access to a PC that can format the card (most likely through an adapter), you should be able to have it formatted to 32gb, and then have the phone recognize it. For some reason it can detect and use 32 GB cards, but can't format one that big.
