Missed Call Notificatio

I cannot locate a setting on the Droid 2 which forces an upfront notification when I have missed a call. After 2 people telling me that they've called me and me not hearing the phone when it's right in front of me, I'm convinced the calls aren't coming through.  I checked the notifications and there aren't any notifications of missed calls either.

I tried calling the phone from my home phone. Sat and heard the phone ringing but no where is there a notification of the call.

I am used to a phone... any phone having a message on the screen when I pick it up that indicates there has been a missed call. I'm not used to going to notifications and checking. Should the phone have an upfront msg that indicates you've missed a call?

I don't know if there is a setting, but when I miss a call, there is a read icon at the very top of the screen.

Drag your finger from top to bottom and you bring up the notifications screen where it shows all of your notifications.

Thanks, that info was really helpful.  Now if you can tell me how to get the "picture source"  to actually work so my contact pictures will transfer from my PC, I would really appreciate it.

If you have the contact pictures saved to the PC already you could connect the device to the PC then copy and paste the contacts into the picture folder on the SD Card.

Transfer files to / from the computer:

Ensure that your memory card is inserted.

Connect your device to a computer using a data cable. (It is recommended to connect directly to the computer, not through a hub). If your phone is not being recognized by your computer or your phone does not show connection notification, you may need to update your computer's USB drivers for information regarding Vcast loading up when you connect your phone.

Go to Notifications (by touching the notifications bar at the top of the handset's screen and dragging it down)

Touch the “USB connection” notification

Touch USB Mass Storage. Computer will recognize handset as an external drive.

Use your computer interface to move files between your device and your computer.

Open Computer or My Computer

Your phone should appear under Devices with Removable Storage.

Select your device

For photos & videos select DCIM > Camera

You can then copy and paste the pictures from the folder on the PC to that folder.

When you are done, go to Notifications and touch Turn off USB storage, then disconnect the data cable from the device.

Once you are done the pictures will appear in the gallery where you can use them for contacts.

have you made sure you got the correct picture source selected that you want (i.e myspace or facebook) go to settings>accounts>menu(the four square looking icon on the far right underneath the magnifying glass and arrow and home icon)>picture source and select which one you want.
