The DROID X was turned off and a missed call is not listed. Trying to find my brand new smart phone this AM and called it from my land line phone. I instantly got my voice mail telling me the DROID X was turned off. I found it, but my home number was NOT listed as a missed call. Repeated the call with DROID X turned ON and the incoming call is listed. How do I set the DROID X to record all incoming calls regardless if it is on or off?

Voice mail works with Droid X phone off.
I tested mine:
1. Turned Droid X off.
Called Droid X with house phone.
Left recorded message with Voice Mail.
Turned Droid X On.
After start-up completed, I received notice in my Notification Area (plus Audio Alert) that I had voice mail.
2. Turned Droid X off.
Called Droid X with house phone.
Did not leave a recorded message.
Turned Droid X On.
After start-up completed, I did not receive any notice of a missed call.
I did not receive any "Missed Call" notice. How would the Droid X know if it missed a call if it is off. Only notice I would think you would get is a Voice Mail.
Unless Voice Mail is left, the Droid X could not know it had been called if it is in a Off condition.

If you have TEC Insurance, you can put Mobile Recovery on the Droid X. It's free but only available to Accounts/Phones with TEC. (Total Equipment Coverage from Verizon within first 30 days of purchase of new phone).
Mobile Recovery will find a lost phone. I do not know if it will find a phone that is turned off but I'll check into that.
Also, the Market has Apps that will do the same.
Edit: Mobile Recovery requires phone to be powered On. Makes sense since it has to send a message to the phone to turn on the Alert Signal. Still a good App.

You cannot. The phone must be powered up to get missed call notifications You can get voicemail notifications of the phone is powered off. They will arrive once the phone is powered back on.
So will we now be treated to a dissertation on how the lack of this feature makes the phone totally useless and the blood-sucking Verizon leaches should be rounded up and keel-hauled?
I hope not, after all, it's Thanksgiving...

I am glad to see someone else besides myself is tired of that not just here but on a lot of these types of sites. Try to be nice people.
