Missing Call Notification Alert

My Droid X does not give a missing call alert (BEEP OF SOME SORT) when I have missed a call. It only gives the missing call alert in the notification bar. I'm a little bewildered as to how this could be the only way you know you've missed a call. Every other phone I've ever had gives a beep every few minutes when you've missed a call so I really can't see how this is something that's not available on this phone, I mean it is a PHONE FIRST, right, & I thought the point of a phone is to KNOW that the phone rang if you've missed the call. So have I missed something. Can someone help me with this?

There isnt a option for a missed call reminder built into the stock interface but applications like Ringoand other apps has this feature,

Also, go to the market and search for "missed call alert" apps. There are several. Be she to read the reviews on the ones that look interesting to you.

And I agree...for as awesome as this phone is, I can't believe that there no such feature included with the phone's apps.
