Mobile Hotspot Locking Up, Any Ideas?

Hey there,

My mobile hotspot keeps locking up. When it does I usually have to wait for 5-10 minutes for it to unlock.

When it's locked up the send/receive are both on and solid.

This happens randomly when either surfing the web or playing a video game.

I've tried killing apps and clearing memory while this happens and that doesn't resolve the problem.

While this is happening I also can't surf the Internet on my phone.

This ONLY happens when the hotspot is running.

Anyone come across this and a possible work around?

Hi Stu:

I haven't seen this too often on the Charge, but I'd be happy to help you troubleshoot the issue. I recommend clearing the cache from the Mobile Hotspot application on your phone. To do this, please go to settings> applications> manage applications> all> mobile hotspot> clear cache/clear data/force stop. Pull the battery on the phone after completing these steps and retest. Let us know if that works. If that doesn't fix the problem, I recommend a factory reset.

I hadn't thought to clear the cache on it. Good idea.

Is there another name the mobile hotspot would be listed under all? I have tried with it running, closed, and after a fresh restart. I don't see the option for mobile hotspot even there to clear cache with. Would love to give that a shot before having to do a factory reset.
