More email help needed -- Droid 2/Earthlink E-mail

Help! I've setup to receive my personal e-mails from my earthlink account but when I try to reply to a message or create/send a new message, it doesn't send!

I've contacted Earthlink and have received all the proper settings for my e-mail account, but still no luck. I receive all my e-mails just fine, but no luck sending them! (I have no trouble receiving/sending e-mails via my pc using Windows XP Professional?

On my Droid X2 Global, I'm using the app that was installed on the phone when I received it. Is there a better app to use? (That won't conflict with my earthlink account?)

And yes, I've searched the archives for help and I've tried everything that I found, including deleting/re-adding the account, reprogramming (*228 Option 1) the phone, turning it off/on, etcetera. No difference.

Thanks for any enlightenment or help you can give me. I'm frustrated! (I have no problems sending e-mails through my gmail account)

I experienced a similar issue on my Droid X and the working solution for me was to just install K9 email client and use it as default email app.

Check it out at https://market.android.com/details?id=com.fsck.k9&feature=search_result

Also wise to uninstall accounts from default email client to avoid multiple alerts for same messages...
