More update issues

Received the update last night and installed this morning......

First problem is Voice Mail.  My Voice Mail button sends me to a screen with pretty **bleep** scenes of an android doing things (eating a hot dog???? sorry, but they are pretty **bleep**).  If I press and hold 1, it does the same thing.  Even going back to the call log and redialing Voice Mail gets the same response - doesn't dial....just gives me a picture with a revolving ad at the top.  Does anyone know what this is, and how to fix it?

Second problem is that I'm not getting gmail updates or notifications.  I can get my mail if I manually refresh - but I still receive no notification.

I haven't seen anyone else having these issues - ??????

Not quite sure what to do.  Any help appreciated!

Verizon tech didn't know.....he called motorola tech - who was incredibly rude.

While motorola had me on terminal hold, I went ahead and uninstalled all my apps.  Phone seems to work fine, now.

since it is commonly used to put someone down, it is possible that the programming is keeping you from insulting other people.

however, have you tried to reboot.  and if you are having echo problems do a *228. after the update many people tried this and confirmed that it not only worked but they actually had more bars than before

As a first gen Andriod user, I have to tell you that odd behavior after an update is not uncommon. Most Andriod guys who have been using it since the 1.0 version will tell you that OTA OS updates just dont istall quite right.

Sync your contacts and factory reset the phone.

It will install the updated OS like it was out of the box and gives the added bonus of letting you go through the tutorial for any new features. This process fixes most issues with the update.
